Assumption of Risk, Rules Agreement & Liability Waiver

This document affects your legal rights. Please read it carefully before continuing.

A) Fitness and medical responsibility

I confirm that:

1. I am 18 years of age or older on the event date.
   
2. I understand this is a physically demanding endurance event that may last for many hours or days and may involve running in darkness and fatigue.
   
3. I am medically and physically fit to participate and accept full responsibility for assessing my ability to take part.
   
4. I will not participate if I feel unwell or unfit, and I will seek medical advice where appropriate.
   
5. I am responsible for my own hydration, nutrition, pacing, rest, and personal care throughout the event.
   

B) Assumption of risk

I understand and accept that participation involves inherent risks including (but not limited to):

• slips, trips and falls, uneven ground, potholes, mud, wet grass, gravel, gates and farm tracks
  
• adverse weather conditions (cold, heat, rain, wind)
  
• fatigue, reduced visibility and running at night
  
• dehydration, cramps, hyponatremia, nausea, heat illness, hypothermia
  
• blisters, sprains, strains, fractures and other injuries
  
• collision with other participants, staff, vehicles, or third parties (where applicable)
  
• serious medical emergencies including cardiac events
  

I voluntarily assume all such risks whether foreseen or unforeseen, and I accept that these risks may result in property damage, injury, illness, permanent disability, or death.

C) Rules and organiser instructions

I agree to follow all event rules, safety instructions, and signage. This includes (but is not limited to):

• each yard starts on the hour; I must be inside the start corral before the start signal
  
• I must complete each yard within the hour for it to count
  
• no pacers or non-competitors are permitted on the course
  
• no littering; littering may result in immediate disqualification
  
• I will remain in designated areas and respect the venue, staff, volunteers and other runners
  

D) Withdrawal, disqualification, and welfare decisions

I understand:

• I may withdraw at any time
  
• I may be stopped from continuing if organisers/medical staff believe it is unsafe for me to continue
  
• organisers may disqualify me for rule breaches or unsafe behaviour
  

I accept these decisions are final and made to protect safety and event integrity.

E) Release of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I agree that I participate entirely at my own risk and I release and discharge:

• DNF Club / DNF Club Ltd, its organisers, volunteers, contractors and representatives
  
• Far Coley Farm, its owners, staff and representatives
  
• event sponsors, partners and suppliers
  

from any and all claims, demands, actions, costs, or liabilities arising from or connected with my participation in the event, including negligence, to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in this waiver excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such liability cannot be excluded by law, or for fraud.

F) Personal property

I am responsible for my personal belongings and equipment at all times. The organisers and venue are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

G) Photography and video

I understand the event may be photographed and filmed. I grant permission for DNF and Far Coley Farm to use images/video/audio of me captured during the event for legitimate event purposes, including promotion on websites and social media, without compensation.

If I do not want to appear in promotional media, I will email info@dnfclub.co.uk before the event with “MEDIA OPT-OUT” in the subject line. I understand this cannot guarantee exclusion from all incidental background footage.

H) Data use

I understand my data will be used for event administration, safety and emergency purposes, and communications relating to this event, in line with applicable UK data protection laws and the organiser’s privacy policy.

I) Refunds & Event Credit Policy

By purchasing a ticket, I understand and agree to the following refunds and credit terms:

• More than 60 days before the event start date: I may cancel for a refund of 90% of the ticket price (a 10% deduction applies to cover processing and administrative costs).
  
• 60 days or less before the event start date: No refunds will be issued. I will receive 100% credit (equal to the ticket price paid) to use against a future DNF event, subject to availability and valid for 24 months from the event date, unless otherwise stated by the organisers.
  
• 7 days or less before the event start date (including no-shows): No refund and no credit will be issued under any circumstances.

3) Consent to Waiver (Required)

By completing the form below, I confirm:

• the details I have provided are accurate, and
  
• I have read and agree to the waiver above.
